Questions about downloading

Where does the download happen?

The download takes place online at the end of your shopping cart form so you get your software right away. The shopping cart is managed by SoftWrap.com. The web site address of the download is www.motif1productions.com/ExpectantSee.exe

One problem some people encounter is that they enter that address but they do not type in the CAPITAL “E” and “S” in the word “ExpectantSee” in the web address. If those letters are lower case, the address doesn’t work. REMEMBER to enter your REGISTRATION NUMBER, also called ACTIVATION CODE as if you are re-registering the product. (Use the whole registration number, before and after the dash.)

What happens if the download doesn't work?

A company called Softwrap handles the downloads. If your software download is unsuccessful, a page will appear telling you to contact Softwrap Support. The SoftWrap helpdesk is located in the UK and is open Monday through Friday 9am to 3 am GMT.

Questions about using ExpectantSee

My screensaver stopped working. Where did it go? The screen is WHITE or BLACK of GRAY.

A blank screen indicates an issue with the Macromedia Flash Player in your PC. (ExpectantSee depends on Flash to run correctly.) To solve this problem, visit the Macromedia web site and download the latest free Flash Player. http://www.macromedia.com/downloads This download is FREE and fast. Then restart your computer. You may have to re-install ExpectantSee but it will be working again in minutes.

How do I see more text in the program, at any time?

Use your mouse to click on today's date in the calendar. Every time you click, a line of text that's appropriate for your due date will randomly appear

ExpectantSee says I'm at a certain week... but my other calculations place the pregnancy at a different week. What's up?

We have had a report that the dates in ExpectantSee don't match up with the dates the customer has calculated. We are not sure why this can be happening, but they shouldn't be off by more than a week for you. A couple of things to keep in mind: Some pregnancies are calculated from date of conception, while others like to use the first date of their last period to calculate their pregnancy length. Also: the dates in ExpectantSee all change at midnight GMT, so depending on your time zone, the screensaver may switch to the next date before midnight.

ExpectantSee's date is one day off from today's date... why?

The ExpectantSee software works with your computer's clock, but our developers had to decide when to start and end each 24-hour period. So they decided to have each "day" run from midnight to midnight Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). GMT is the time zone in the London, England area. If you live in a different time zone, the screensaver may be bumping over to "tomorrow" a little early (or late). If you live in the US EST, the day changes around 6PM every night, in PST "tomorrow" comes around 4PM. In Australia, the difference is even bigger. We hope this slight date variation doesn't bother you too much.

How do I change the number of minutes it takes before the screensaver starts?

In  Windows, go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview for Windows computers. Follow the prompts to change the minutes before start.

How can I open the screensaver without waiting for my computer to be idle?

In  Windows, go to Control Panel/ Appearances and Themes / Screensavers / Preview for Windows computers. Select "Preview." ExpectantSee will start.

Can I use ExpectantSee for more than one pregnancy?

Once you install ExpectantSee, it remains in the Screen Saver area of your Control Panel. You can enter another due date at any time. There is no expiration date and no limit to the number of times it can be used on a single computer. We ask each customer to make a separate purchase for each computer. But each customer can use ExpectantSee repeatedly for numerous pregnancies.

Can I make the calendar disappear onscreen so I only see the baby picture?

Yes. In the ExpectantSee application, look at the bottom left corner of the screen. You will find a little icon that has a bunch of dots in the shape of a calendar. Click on that icon. The calendar will disappear.

How do I change the due date?

In the ExpectantSee application, look at the bottom left corner of the screen. You will find a circle with  a profile of a fetus. Click on that circle. A new window will appear that allows you to set the due date. You can pick the Month, Day and Year from the drop down menu. You can choose "Random" and a different due date will appear each time. This is also where you can change the screen color.

How do I change the color?

In the ExpectantSee application, look at the bottom left corner of the screen. You will find a circle with  a profile of a fetus. Click on that circle. A new window will appear that allows you to set the color to be blue or pink. This is also where you can change the due date.
